A Summer Solstice Check-in!

Christine Renee, Isabel Wells, and Shantel Ochoa Season 3 Episode 5

Send Us a Message!

As the summer solstice illuminates our longest days, Christine Renee and Shantel Ochoa share an intimate, unscripted conversation about finding light during challenging times. The pair explore the revolutionary power of joy as a response to global difficulties. "We are not meant to match fear with fear," Shantel reflects, suggesting that our most powerful contribution might be cultivating our own inner light. Christine builds on this, describing her vision of personal revolution through radical self-healing and authentic expression.

One particularly fascinating thread explores how we might transform our relationship with our senses. Drawing from her Tantra experience, Christine challenges traditional Buddhist views that our senses lead to suffering: "What if the senses were a pathway to your bliss?" This perspective shift opens exciting possibilities for experiencing ecstasy through breathwork, movement, and sound—techniques that both hosts incorporate into their Shamanic Reiki practices.

In today's episode, we cover:

  • Joy as a revolutionary response to global fear
  • Inner light as a personal contribution to the world
  • Connection to nature (e.g., waterfalls, barefoot grounding)
  • Simple spiritual practices (e.g., thunder water, herb gardens)
  • Senses as pathways to bliss vs. suffering
  • Tantra techniques for ecstasy: breathwork, movement, sound
  • Emphasis on individual paths over rigid spiritual models
  • Encouragement of consistent small practices for big shifts
  • Soul Rising program and spiritual self-discovery

Speaker 2:

I'm going to start us off with a little bit of patchouli and Palo Santo. Yum, I'm feeling that grounding woodsy scent. I think I'm going to actually soak some of my Palo and patruli and just already have it infused.

Speaker 1:

Oh, that's an interesting idea. I've never thought about that. Yeah, how big that makes it. That's crazy, cause sometimes it's really hard to get your pulsanto to light.

Speaker 2:

You do a drop of um, when you do a drop of oil on it, it just ignites and you're done. And it's look at how good it smokes too and it smells.

Speaker 1:

Amazing, that combo that's great, that makes me happy.

Speaker 2:

I have to try that I'm going to play with it and infuse it and Reiki it and do all the things. So when it's all, when you burn it, it's already set and ready to go.

Speaker 1:

Yay, already set and ready to go. I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm down with that.

Speaker 2:

I'll bring some.

Speaker 1:

I'll make it and I'll bring some for our retreat. So, um, chantel and Isabel are coming up to Montana. We've got a little shamanic Reiki retreat happening here, very rustic out in the woods, montana style, and I was thinking about this this morning and I'm going. I can't wait for Chantel to get here because I need my mushroom coffee. I'm out.

Speaker 2:

I am like super excited for it, cause I know like, especially as you're explaining it right now, with the Montana backwoods like sweat lodge, you're just going to be like campy camping, blamping, doing all the things, yes, and so what my alley right now sounds so good, I have to say I love your.

Speaker 2:

Yellowstone pictures so many waterfalls, so many waterfalls, yeah, so beautiful. Yeah, it was great. I was like I need to go hiking. We don't have like waterfalls like that around here, but we have creeks and rivers that run through the mountains, the Palm Springs desert or the mountains and all that. It's kind of it's beautiful yeah. You really don't like back into them.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I'm. I was thinking about, um, we have 10, 15 minutes from our house. We have Highlight Reservoir and there's a whole string of waterfalls up there and I didn't know that. I thought there was just Grotto Falls and I'm now just discovering I've been here for 20 years no, there's a bunch more up there. I was like you've got to be kidding me. How did I not know this? This is not that far from my house. How did I not know this? This is not that far from my house. So, yeah, Montana's pretty amazing, because nature is. It doesn't take you very long to find it. It's not that far away ever right.

Speaker 2:

So it's very. I loved it last year when we went and I'm super excited to go back and and to see all that. And you know it's so funny you never know what's in your backyard if you don't go explore it.

Speaker 1:

Yeah exactly Exactly, and we just kind of fell in love with this, this location, and it's up Clancy Creek, which is closer to Helena than Bozeman. I'm in Bozeman, montana, and Helena's like a couple hours away, but there is an airport there. We do have, I believe, one glamping spot left and camping spots available. So if you're hearing all of this and you're like I need to come, just holler at me. We weren't really promoting it beyond our inner networks until now, so, but I'm very excited to see Chantel and Isabel again. We only get to do this like once a year in person meetup, so it's always fun to have us all together and our energies combined, and we have really amazing workshops and classes and all the things. So I'm really looking forward to it, me too, me too.

Speaker 1:

Part of this is like we just had solstice, you know, and it's crazy, in Montana, speaking of Montana, literally it was 1130 at night and I'm still seeing the horizon into this glimmer of light on the horizon. Like I'm so far North that on solstice it's really light out so much of the time, right, like, and then it starts getting light again at like four in the morning. So, um, we are in the lightest part of our season and it makes it for an interesting I don't know an interesting energy, because it's everything is so awake. People are very active in the summer. Here. It's really hard to get people to show up for a workshop because it's sunny until 10 30.

Speaker 2:

Yeah Right, people have like, yeah, they got the summer buzz and it's like we want to be outside, so it's like hosting events outside. So that might be a good idea for you if you have some like little courtyard or park or something where you can be hosting some of your day retreats or your events. Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1:

So we had a potluck over at the Bozeman spiritual society, which I'm a member of, a partner of, and, uh, we did it outside and we had such a nice turnout we had like over 30 people there. We had a pop picnic and barbecue and potluck and, um, we did a bunch of demos for what we do in the space and it was just really lovely and, at the same time, like, so much of what I'm currently offering as in-person stuff is so intimate that doing it outside, when you're trying to talk over the wind, over our Aspen Grove and, um, like trying to create that really tight circle, it's kind of hard outside. So I want to do, we're doing. So what I'm doing currently is, yeah, I'm doing the sex talks with Jim, which are a cacao ceremonies with really intimate conversations on specific sexual topics, and the first one was amazing, and now I'm also I'm alternating that with a red 10 series basically the same thing, but for women, plus a somatic experience.

Speaker 1:

So it's a women's um cacao ceremony where we talk on something very women's specific, like this week it's on moon cycles like, just like ancient, uh, red tents where women would come together like a mandatory coming together Cause we all were cycling together and have these intimate conversations. Well, this is kind of our modern expression of that. So we do the cacao ceremony, we talk on the topic, and then we have a sabbatic experience to really help heal and balance the body. And that starts on Wednesday and I'm like, can I do either of these outside? Probably probably not, but maybe I could do some shamanic workshops outside, maybe I can do some moving meditations outside. You know, like I'm trying to think of like what would draw people in to keep in their practices for the summer, while we get it also tune into nature. Right, it's always finding that balance.

Speaker 2:

Where, where I work, um, I, so I balance between my home and my workspace and so there, um, it's really just dirt, like the grounds are. We've been turning more into desert landscape to save on watering and all that kind of stuff, and so I try to. All of my smudging circles are outside. So, like on Saturday, I just happened to pick that as the day for um, for my love, my level one, so I, I host a level one and two I alternate each month. And then I was like, oh, it's the summer solstice, which I didn't plan on that but it ended up becoming. I was like nice, and what great energy to be able to do attunements and stuff. And so I took the women out and, um, like, yeah, just dig your feet in the dirt and let's do this. And they were so funny because they're like are your shoes off?

Speaker 2:

And I'm like yeah take your shoes off Like this. The dirt was really soft where we were and I was like kind of just dig your feet in, connect with the earth, like set your intentions, feel the energy, and for some of them they were just like wow, like this is amazing, like either they don't play in the dirt very often or it's just the fact that they have permission to do it. You know and I think sometimes that's what it is it's like having permission to sit in circle and kick your shoes off and get comfortable and be okay.

Speaker 1:

Right, well, and I, you know, that reminds me of, like last week I've, I've got I'm basically a new construction property, right, and I need to develop my backyard space and so I'm need to go pull these weeds. And it was it rained the night before and I was like, okay, the earth is soft, I can pull the weeds and I'm like I'm going to do it barefoot. I am going to do it barefoot and for me, like, I don't like being barefoot on on in mud and it's kind of like like I don't even like going Creek walking without Creek shoes. You know, like, and I know that this because it's a stretch for me, I need to do it Like, so it was a very intentional like I'm going to ground, I'm going to be okay with getting dirty and messy and, yes, it's going to make a mess in my house if I can't walk in the house with it, but it's going to be okay.

Speaker 1:

And I love those little areas in our lives that we can have that awareness of wow, this can feel like a stretch, this can feel like an edge, and I'm going to do it to have the stretch, to feel into the edge of going what's my yes and what's my no and I love, I love that. So I love that there's containers that you're creating, that you're like, you're invited to. You don't always say no, but you are invited to like really get comfortable, really get in the earth energy and that's a really fantastic way to do it.

Speaker 2:

It really is. But there are those people that they go. I never kick off my shoes. You know, it's funny because my husband, he's always been one of those, like he keeps his shoes on and now, since he's been with me, he takes his shoes off. So he works in the desert and went at night. You know, when he gets off of work, I tell him take your shoes off, create a space where you go. Do that, you know where you in this, the dirt will be softer and then you can kind of bury him. And he's been doing that and he says he feels great, yeah, and I'm like yeah, because it's so healing for us. And then you're drawn into like a sense of meditation. You're just having a moment with yourself and it's so simple. It's so simple, you know, but we've been conditioned to like wear shoes and I'm like, no, unconditioned that I've been barefoot, my whole life I've been really struggling with my backyard space.

Speaker 1:

I don't know what to plant there, and part of my barefoot time was I need to connect with the earth to hear the earth Tell me what it wants planted there. How does it want to create a magical space, you know, and so I think there's a lot of disconnect from our spaces, even right outside our back door. Like this doesn't have to be an a um out in nature, nature out in the wild. This is like what's available to you right here. We're talking about our yards, you know. Like how do we make it in the in a capacity where we, we, it is drought tolerant and it is in alignment with what the earth is desiring? Right, like my, clearly, my backyard doesn't want to be a dirt pile full of weeds. Right, it wants to be something else. But do I want to put a raspberry patch in? Do I want to put in stones? With creeping time, like I have all these. That's where my business are right now. Pretty.

Speaker 2:

Right yeah, the stones are the creeping time. Yes, have all these. That's where my vision is right now. Right yeah, the stones are the creeping time. Yes, that sounds really like cottagey and cutesy and fairy.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah. And then there's a part of me that just wants to be a full on witch and like plant the red clover and plant the like. I want a Dan, I want a dandelion. That just is glorious and I can grow it for five years to have one amazing root. You know, like there's a part of me that's also wants to like grow the things in my backyard that I'll actually utilize all the time.

Speaker 1:

Like I love having lots of different kinds of herbs and and things that people don't think about, like even the red clover. Like the red clover it makes a really good ground cover, but red clover grows to about eight to 12 inches tall and it's such pretty little, almost like little mini bushes, and yet it's medicinal. Like I love that kind of stuff and it's. I have gone hiking numerous times Now. I cannot find any clean red clover and I'm just like I have been out of red clover for too many years. I really need some. So I at this point even have a student who's like I found red clover in my area and I'm going to send you some and I'm like, yes, Greg, please, and thank you.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and there are so many, um, what we consider to be weeds that are very good for us, and we just rip them up out of the ground Dandelion being one of them, you know, teas and soups and all of it and we just tear them out, or we wait till me I love to blow them. So it's like once they they transition but or turn into something different. But yeah, we just rip them out and we need to start really harvesting our weeds.

Speaker 1:

Right. Well then we have a little Creek, like I have a little Creek right down from my property and we have nettles and horsetail and all these things and I'm like, yeah, that's a really good reminder. I bet my, my nettles is probably right about to turn, so it's not good anymore. So it's time to go to go harvest on the property and see what else I can find. But you know, I I feel really blessed that I have it, have a lot of things like right outside my backyard and it's like what else do I want to cultivate like I love? Yeah.

Speaker 2:

Stacy says that it's hard when you live in an apartment. But the thing with an apartment, even with that, you can um pot them and put them in pots. Like you don't have to have this big ground cover, you can just have, um, you know, towering pots. You can create your own little herb garden on your windowsill. If you have a patio, you can create that. So there are so many creative ways of doing herb gardens right now.

Speaker 1:

Yeah absolutely.

Speaker 1:

Like just going on Pinterest or like inside herb gardens and you'll find so many ideas, and I think that's where you know. Speaking of visions there's someone in the chat just like I've been having so many visions and I'm like, fantastic, me too, I feel like I've been in a very visionary role these days and just my backyard is one of the things. But I definitely have been envisioning and I feel like that's kind of why I wanted to really lean into our the way we want to do summer, because it can be in that flow, it can be in that divine inspiration, it can be in that like what's coming, what's visually available, to say yes to, to keep on on that path. And so I'm curious who's having visions lately? Like I, definitely, I definitely am.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, for sure. Let us know in the comments if you are having visions, and that can. That can be dreams too, that are very lucid and very real, and you're. They're tangible, you're remembering them when you wake up.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, and I feel like visions can really kind of point you into the direction of where things are unfolding for you, like where's your attention at. And so, like yesterday morning, I had a really intense vision of the, the original sacred union ceremonies with the priestess and the King from Inanna's time, and Inanna's time we're talking like five, 6,000 years ago, and it was so detailed and I just love it when it comes in with such detail where this priestess was receiving gold coins and other trinkets from her community and all of those coins were a way of setting intention for the ceremony. So they would take their coin or whatever offering it was, and think about the fertility of themselves or their land or what they, their hopes and dreams, their desired reality, and offer it to the priestess and sew it into her garment. So I could actually literally see the beating and this work of like putting in these gold coins into her garments or the trink, like you couldn't see anything other than her eyes because she was so adorned. She was adorned in all of these jewels and gold coins and they would sew in pieces of wheat that was at its fullness, right, like all of these different pieces, to give blessing to the land and the people.

Speaker 1:

Because originally the thought was is that the priestess would embody the goddess energy and, as the goddess would bring fertility to land in the sacred union and as the goddess would bring fertility to land in the sacred union. So if a king was to be kinged, he needed to come into sacred union and have a ceremony to meet, basically the king and the goddess together, right, and then that sacred union. It was a blessing to say, yes, this king is worthy of this task of ruling the land, this task of ruling the land, and that if it was done in the properly, if it was done in the most holiest way, then all of the hopes and dreams, all of the fertility of the land and the people would transpire. Right, but it needed, like so much needed to be held in that preparation, not only for the priestess but also for the king and all of the community. Like really, the other priestesses would hold space, the sacred ceremony, and so I could almost hear the tinkles of the coins, um, bouncing off one of each other, right, or as she moved the garment around, like you could hear her, and and it was just like this most beautiful visual that I had of like, oh, I understand it, like this was the original sex magic right Like like cause she's really holding onto everyone's ideas of what they want their lives to be like and in this union it is where that can, that can come to fruition, right, like all of that.

Speaker 1:

Those desires can then unfold from there. So it was just like this, really powerful, like whoa I can now see it. And whether or not it's quote, unquote, real or not, if I imagined it or not, like it doesn't matter, I'm like or not, if I imagined it or not, like it doesn't matter, I'm like still really pretty freaking amazing to to have that level of download or encoding come through and right on the like, right at the solstice. Like this is my message at solstice is, and for me kind of the way it translated is how am I bringing the hopes and dreams of my students of our community forward? Like, is there a way to kind of hold space for all of that in these sacred unions?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, and I feel that whenever we embark on new teachings and learnings, there's like this initiation process that can happen and that's where these visions come in, because we're lining up with that timeline or that energy, and then we're able to tap in and then, visually, we receive it, or the downloads come in or the knowing.

Speaker 2:

However we receive it. You know everyone's different, but, um, yeah, I actually I Like well, this one particular I had was the war, the Lyran, the with the Lyran's and which is a collective of beings that are lions, basically, and so I saw the war, and then recently I was watching an episode on Gaia and they were talking about and literally sharing the exact vision that I had, and I was like, oh my gosh, you know, it's one thing when you have it, but then when it's confirmed, and you're just in awe of that because we have the capacity to tap in, but it's being open to it and to be able to receive it, um, but yeah, that sounds like a beautiful, like initiation that you're receiving because of the energy that you're bringing forward right now. Right, yeah, exactly yeah, I just that you're getting into.

Speaker 1:

Right. And so it's just like I love, I love it, I love all of it. It's so juicy, it makes my personal life really enhanced and to really be able to understand how it can unfold more fully. And so, like I am, I I'm seeing my uh, the classes unfold, these cacao ceremonies unfold, I can see where, um, there's like opportunity to turn things into masterclasses and the books into, you know, really a broader understanding, and I'm just like I love just following wherever those inspirations lead. And I think that's that's what we, what it feels like to be quote unquote like in the vortex or in your zone of magic and like really listening to your heart. So like I feel like I can be a bit of um and get really excited and I can push the same event over and over and over again and I'm like, but it is not tiring to me because I'm like, no, no, I love it, I love it.

Speaker 1:

If people could understand this piece, then they could also have this level of divine inspiration, of this flow of and it doesn't have to be exactly what I'm doing, but like, I feel like there's so much where people are and spiritual um seekers are, are are struggling, especially with the level of how much heaviness is going on in the world and like, how do we find our own personal revolution of love, of radical self-healing of all of these things within us? Because there's there's a, there's a ripple effect in our world? If we can really find, with all the shit that's going on, can I find a level of bliss, can I find a level of ecstasy, can I find a level of complete joy? How is my joyful nature a direct um opposition of war or you know that struggle, you know, and so it's like I, I feel like that's where, where, you know, when things get extreme, I also go extreme, like I feel, like I'm like, oh yeah, you want, you want to do all that. Well, here I am, I'm gonna play with sex magic for a while. You, you know, like I might, you know.

Speaker 1:

So it's really it's interesting for me to to recognize those, those extreme energies.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I think it's important for for us to remember there is that, that spectrum of energy exchange, and so when there is fear, there is war, there is all this stuff going on. We have to carry the opposite effect of that, which is the light, which is joy, which is happiness. And it's looking within your own world. You know, it's like I feel like we aren't meant to really like now we do because we have social media and we have ways of connecting with all areas of the world, but really we're not meant to know what's going on outside of our own, you know, unit of people and life and all of that. And so when we do, it's a lot for the mind, it's a lot for the heart, so it's like cultivating and creating what we can within our own life space so that we are rippling out that positive energy to others. And so within my own community of, yeah, I'm very much about bringing forward the positive abundance of just knowing yourself connecting with what you enjoy doing getting out into nature, going, you know, traveling to local towns near us that are mountains, or going to the vineyards or whatever, because that's what we, going to the vineyards or whatever, because that's what we have, and so it's like go out there and find the creeks, go out there and have lunch somewhere, that's not just in your, your town, you know. If you need a different perspective, so we don't have to, we don't have to hold space in the sense of matching fear with fear, right, that really doesn't bring in balance, that tips the scale. And so you don't want to tip the scale, you want to bring in the balance, and the only way of bringing in balance is by doing the opposite effect. So if we want to have a peaceful nature versus war, we have to bring in the peace, and it will be one person at a time, but eventually it does ripple out into where a whole community is in celebration of whatever's going on, like having a solstice gathering or having, you know, whatever. It is like hey, it's Saturday, let's just get together and barbecue. You know, and we've throw these titles on so that people are intrigued.

Speaker 2:

But when you break it all down, what it is is we are gathering as people so that we can share our energy, our light conversations, you know, and if the conversation for me, I would like I shift it quick, if it starts getting dark and you know, and whatever, and depressing.

Speaker 2:

It's like, all right, let's change the topic so that we can stay more in this light, because sometimes that's the only time people have, that's a positive energy, is when they can come to gatherings and they feel into this energy, and then when they go home they're back at the news, you know. And so it's like don't go, do that like. Stay in your sacred hoop, stay in your space, so that way you are able to, like I said, be the light, shine, feel happy within yourself, because we're going to attract what we put out. So if we put out that negative, we're going to receive it somehow, some way we're going to attract it. So I'm like, no, thank you. I, you know, I mean there's compassion and love in all areas for what's happening, but I also believe that we we need to bring in the balance of it.

Speaker 1:

But I also believe that we need to bring in the balance of it, yeah, and really like be in your own, like really come into your heart space, like I feel, like if we can come into our heart and feel the feelings, like yeah, it might be heavy, it might be, like a lot is being triggered as an empath, like I get that for sure. And to also go all right, I felt the things I can. I'm not going to deny that part of who I am, of I'm a big feeler and I can also go. And now I'm ready to experience another emotion that's going to help come into my alignment so that I can feel into what is coming forward for my next step.

Speaker 1:

Like I think so often we feel like there's nothing I can do.

Speaker 1:

You know there's nothing I can do to change my, my environment, my community, my, the government.

Speaker 1:

Like, whatever it is right, the world vents like I'm, I feel so small and then, if we can go actually inward, to go, I have control of me and I have control of my emotions and what will make me feel the most expansive possible.

Speaker 1:

And in that expansion, it feels like that is where you are opening an invitation to the divine to say lead me, guide me, show me my next best step, because we're not going to get that from the news, but we are going to get that from the divine Right. And so if I'm making myself available, like even though, yeah, I have heavy moments and there are some days where I'm like today to sit on the couch and just feel sorry for myself and I'm going to do that, I'm going to give myself permission feel all the feels. And then I'm going to, and I'm going to do that, I'm going to give myself permission feel all the feels. And then I'm going to, I'm going to but I'm not going to stay there, right, like I'm going to right and I'm going to have that permission to feel all the fields. And then I'm going to say and now I'm ready to open myself to the divine guidance of what is the next thing for me.

Speaker 1:

And that's when the visions do come. That is when the, the, the book idea shows up, or the, you know the thing that is really going to activate you into your fullest potential. Because I feel like when we're in that space, we can get in alignment with our destiny. Like, I feel like I'm here in this moment of this timeline for reason and purpose. Right, what is my reason and purpose? I always keep coming back to this of my reason and purpose is to support you all finding yours right. Like that is why I'm here. And when I can get inspired by that to show up for a live or to create a workshop or a masterclass, or soul rising or whatever it may be, I feel like I'm doing the things. I'm doing everything that I possibly can to make the impact on people's lives for the better, and I was thinking about this the other day of. Like you know, right now we have so many people who are graduating from our programs and part of those closing ceremonies is for them to really reflect on the progress that they have made and how their lives have changed. And I get messages regularly that say something to the effect of your podcast really made a difference, or you showing up this way made a difference in my life and it's just an affirmation for me to going, keep going, right.

Speaker 1:

Like I love hearing our stories of our students who, like we have a student graduate who had been diagnosed with MS and literally has been on a catheter for 20 years and healed from that that was just from soul rising and then she joined the practitioner level and she decided that she was going to quit smoking. Well, she's, she's smoked for like 30 plus years, forever, right, quit smoking, no problem. I'm like, what's your next goal? Like anything is possible. This woman is amazing, right, and we hear these stories again and again. And I currently have one of our advanced students and you know she, um, she really is feeling the overall effects. Like I taught her how to do self attunements for Reiki and she's like I'm doing every day and my world is rocked. Like my life is changing fast and radically and I'm like that's amazing, changing fast and radically. And I'm like that's amazing and she's she's offering Reiki to her partner on a regular basis and it's bringing their relationship to a whole new level.

Speaker 1:

And you know, like you hear you hear these stories and I wish there was a. You know like I, I wish that everyone in our audience could feel their energy. You know, like this is why we put out those testimonial videos and our quotes, but I'm like, but to really feel how the impact has landed for them is just incredible. And so to me, it's like I'm ecstatic if it's a podcast, I'm ecstatic if it's a masterclass, I'm ecstatic if it's a soul rising program, like, wherever you land, if we're showing up in our light, we're showing up in our authenticity, if we're showing up in our exactly who we are meant to doing, what we're meant to do, and that is resonating with you, it just it lights me up even further to keep going, like I don't get tired of it and I just I love it, I just love it.

Speaker 2:

You're not going to become tired when you're standing in your purpose and you're doing exactly what you're meant to do, and even if you are like you're saying you're, you're sharing the same class or content, but each time you do a live with it, it's not the same exact message, right? The words change, the perspective, might, you know, change a little bit, because there's still growth that's happening within you or the instructor that's giving it. So it's like it doesn't get old, old and to um, you know, to witness people as they're growing. You know, it's like, as you were talking, I'm feeling like if everyone in our audience that is attuned to Reiki could just truly understand what it means to just be Reiki. That, in its sense, is so freaking powerful. You know, I was having a conversation, I had my Reiki share Thursday here at home and and they're, like you know, making these comments about you know, your energy is always like this and I'm like, yeah, because everywhere I go, my intention is Reiki is with me. I said so when I, wherever I am, I have a bubble of Reiki with me, and that energy of who I am is always going to serve others. And so they're like I love that and I'm like, yeah, it's just knowing that, if you can embody that, just simply embody that concept, your whole life changes, because everything becomes a different scope, a different lens, a different perspective of life. And how are you like? Everything you touch, you know. It's like if you're cooking and everything you, you're putting energy into your food, you're eating, that you're raising the vibration of the food that you're eating, everything you drink, everything you you do, the work that you put into it, the conversations that you have, it all becomes such a higher vibration of yourself because you have the intention that that energy is constantly flowing through you, from you you are it, and then everyone. It's like if my energy touches your energy, it's like that ripple effect that we're talking about, right, and so it's just emerging. It's like I'm seeing like the colors of one person moving into the colors of the other and it just keeps, you know, keeps sharing itself and cycling through. And that is just a simple way of living.

Speaker 2:

Just get up and be that energy every day. Who are you at your highest and fullest potential? And when we do have those pity parties, have them, it's all good. Have them If you need a day on the couch and you want to eat a bucket of ice cream. It's all good, do your thing, but then the next day, when you get up, have a different intention for you, because yesterday you served yourself in the way that you could and the way that you needed to, and there is no shame in that, absolutely none. So then the next day you get up, and now you can be more powered, you can be creative, you can whatever it is that it's calling you for that day. So we just need to stand in our truth and our power and then know that that is exactly where we need to be.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yes, yeah, exactly, and I and I love that, that process, and I think my biggest hope is that people understand that they can take the baby steps, like if they're not available, like if they're not at the current point in their practice, their rituals, their lifestyle, to embody Reiki a hundred percent all of the time. Well, can you, where can you just take the baby bites of it? And I think this is where you know I, we display, whether it's Yumi or Isabel, I think this is where you know I, we display, whether it's you, me or Isabel, where we are, like here's the different areas of our life that we are continuously saying yes to more of. Please, thanks, thank you, thank you, thank you Like gratitude, gratitude, gratitude of like these little bite size opportunities to keep saying yes to expansive energy. Right, and when then those add up, then it's become to expansive energy, right, and when then those add up, then it's become become a lifestyle. Right, and like I love a Reiki lifestyle, I love the energy that I'm at, I love knowing that I ultimately am a reflection of the divine, like if I can live in that space, same thing as like I'm living in unison with Reiki all of the time. Right, reiki energy flows through me all of the time, right, and so it's like, if that is, if you're calling bullshit in your head while you're doing it, because that's what happens in the beginning no, that like it's okay to like break it down, let's okay. So maybe it's five minutes, I'm going to do this ritual and it feels like I'm just moving through the motions and it doesn't really feel all that effective. But then you do it on a regular basis and you're like, okay, maybe this is working, you know. And so it's like it's okay to be wherever you're at in that process, to know that your goal is to live your desired reality, to live in harmony, to live in expansion, to live in bliss, to live in ecstasy. And it was just so funny that I was, we were doing, I was teaching my advanced class last night and one of our students was doing a guided meditation, a sensory meditation, and I'm like just coming back from from Japan.

Speaker 1:

You know, thinking about all of the senses are a sign of your struggle. You know, your eyes will lead to struggle, your nose will lead to struggle, your, your taste buds will lead to struggle and suffering this. These are all pathways to suffering and that's like the premise of Buddhism is like your senses lead to suffering. That's like the premise of Buddhism is like your senses lead to suffering. And I'm like what if the senses were a pathway to your bliss? Right, that's how I see it, absolutely. And this is where I love the Tantra work, because it's very much like it was a direct result of what the Buddhist culture was of going no, we're going to not deny our senses, we're going to utilize our senses to live a more full, elaborate, ecstatic life, Right.

Speaker 1:

And so here I have my student doing this guided visualization of sensory experience, like take a moment to smell what you smell, lean into that, totally envelop your sensory experience of smelling what you smell in this moment. And like going through all the senses. And I just couldn't help like giggle, because I didn't give her that this meditation to do. This is something that she came up completely on her own and as an advanced student. That's what I'm encouraging, right, that's what I'm encouraging, right. And to just go, yes, yes, yes, yes.

Speaker 1:

Because I feel like what if the body was our medium to the divine? What if our physical senses were what allows us to reach Satori, rather than the opposite way of denying ourself, our human experience is the only way to reach this bliss Satori state. And I'm like, or or we could use everything that God has given us, right, like we were given a body, maybe, to not only experience suffering, but also experience the absolute opposite of that. And what does that look like? And how can we say yes to more of that?

Speaker 1:

Because when we really can feel into the joy, the pleasure, the spontaneity of feeling, into whatever's right in front of us, whether it's a bowl of ice cream or dancing in the streets or enjoying the feeling of rain on our skin or for me, it's like feeling the cold breeze through the window at rain on our skin. Or for me, it's like feeling the cold breeze through the window at night, because it gets cold here, right. So, even though the house might be in the seventies, because it's hot during the day, that frigid, cold air blowing in just feels so glorious, right. And so it's like what if the senses were actually the pathway? And so it's like what if the senses were actually the pathway? What if the senses were actually the pathway? And so that's how.

Speaker 2:

I see them. So it's like it's so mind blowing to hear when you were saying like no, it's like your sight becomes suffering, your senses become suffering. I'm like really, then, what are you looking at, what are you tasting, what are you smelling that is going to create suffering?

Speaker 1:

Because me, I find there's so much joy in all those things, right, and I, um, it makes me curious of when? When do we have? Um, you know, I yeah, it's really interesting. It's like this place of where the mind goes right, like we can choose how we focus on something, and it can cause suffering, like if I'm watching the news, it can cause suffering, but if I'm watching my children play, that can create a lot of contentment and joy within myself, right, like. So it's like where does the mind support us?

Speaker 1:

And I think there's this Kokoro concept in Reiki of the harmony of the heart and mind, like the mind isn't the enemy. It can be so supportive if we can really like trust that the heart, the feelings of the situation, is bringing us to the next best thing, right, so can we trust the heart and let the mind be right there with us, in harmony with it. So, and there are so many practices that are denying the mind, like they think the mind is the enemy. And I'm like I've been having a lot of conversations on this lately because there are so many, there are so many different practices, whether you're talking law of attraction or ho'oponopono, or you know, like these places of you need to make the mind blank, do not think. And I'm like, but it's not, it's not necessarily bad, like it's not bad, like it's part of who we are.

Speaker 1:

And if all of us is the divine reflection of uh is a divine reflection, why would that part be bad? It's more about how can we harmonize the triple diamond system and I love that's where, in Reiki, you have these three energy centers and be like. None of them are bad, they are serving its purpose of. How do we connect with the cosmos? How do we connect with the divine? How do we feel with a heart and have compassion? How can we feel into that lower Don Tien space, that horror of like this is my stability, this is my strength, this is my bravery, right and like all of them can be in harmony with each other. It's not that one is wrong or bad, it's how do we bring in that harmonious state of being that allows us to experience life without the denial of part of who we are?

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I don't know if you've ever experienced, but I did 90 breath work last week. It's a new service that's being offered where I'm at, and so she just did like a taste run on it, and I loved it. It was a great experience. It's not my, it would not be my like go-to for my whole healing practice, but I really loved it, and what it did, though, is it actually provided a really great platform for me just to naturally start doing Reiki and healing and all this stuff, and when I was done, the lady is like it was kind of tripping, because she was like what were you doing? Oh, like, yeah, I'm pulling out energy and things, but the visuals that I was receiving so you go from your conscious mind into your subconscious and it's to bring all this stuff up right. Well, for me, I've done so much work on myself, right. So there, I didn't have the emotional responses that other people did in the group, but what I did get, which I thought was amazing, was when we got to the point of gratitude, I was able to really narrow in on what was important, and so in my mind, I'm always like you got to travel and adventure and this, and that I have all these things that I feel like I need to go out and do, but in the end, it was literally my people and the gratitude of love and the gratitude of, like, my children and my grandchildren and I, you guys, and my husband and my family. It was so trippy that when it all got stripped away of all the things that I feel are important to me and the end of it it was a line of people, it was a group of people and then at the very end of it, um, there was a visual of me connecting heart to heart with my husband and that just like amplified the love for all and it just like it connected me on a deep level with him. Beyond that, and I just started I cried in the moment of that. But it was a trip of going through all of these very abstract visuals and all this stuff that I was receiving and and I was in different like I was in Egypt and I was in all these places. That was like amazing what I was seeing.

Speaker 2:

But in the end, when it was all down, came down to it, it truly is love and it is our people and I just seen. But in the end, when it was all came down to it. It truly is love and it is our people and I just thought, wow, I think we put so many obstacles and so many things in front of us Sometimes that we forget the basics of what brings us harmony and peace and balance and and who we we share our life with, who we surround ourselves with right, and so it is like when we have people that, like when we are toxic, you know, like when you're talking a few minutes ago, I was thinking about it when you were saying, like for us, I'd like our audience to remember when we came to this journey, we were broken, you know. We had our issues, we had our health, things going on. We were broken people that had to learn to get to the place of just being who we are and being energy at all times and to be able to share these messages because we've walked through the fire, we have risen from the ashes, you know, and we still are, because life isn't over, life still going to bring us our challenges and it's going to bring us trauma and things and death and you know all the things that are fearful and we are always constantly rising from it, but it's always tapping in to that space of love within that grows us, that helps us, that evolves us.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, so if you haven't tried it, I recommend it. But I absolutely recommend you bringing your energy with it, because if I didn't have it, I recommend it, but I absolutely recommend you bringing your energy with it, because if I didn't have that, I think it would have laid a little flat. But and I think too, because it's like I thought she was going to be teaching us the breath work, but you, you put headphones on and you listen to basically like a guided meditation, which is kind of trippy, because the guy's voice is going from here to here and there's all these things like subliminal things in the background of like release, release and all this stuff. But it's, if you don't remember to do the breath work, then you're really just laying there in a meditation. So I'd have to remind myself oh yeah, you're supposed to breathe, it's like being a helper.

Speaker 1:

I absolutely love breath work. I think it's the most phenomenal thing ever. Like I and it. It is one of this, these huge components in Tantra Like I see that someone in the in the comments asked about Tantra and Tantra really is a combination of breathwork, movement and sound. Right Like those three make life juicy, right, it's not you're teaching the actual breathwork right.

Speaker 2:

It's not like you're just in headphones, like you're showing and giving the example. I think that's what I needed.

Speaker 1:

Well, there's all of these different ways to move the energy within yourself using the breath, right, whether you're doing microcosmic orbit or you're doing like quantum light breath, or you're doing like Wim Hof, breathing like there's so many different kinds of breath work. Um, when Hoff breathing like there's so many different kinds of breath work, and it's like when you activate a part of the breath where you're, you're activating your lungs to create its own natural DMT. You can have these psychedelic experiences in this breath work process. And I'm like that in and of itself, like I remember the first time I did breath work a few years ago, like a real, true, uh, wim Hof breathwork, hour, hour too long, hour or two, I'm not sure which experience and I was like that was better than any psychedelics I've ever tried.

Speaker 1:

Why even go there? Like, why do psychedelics, if this is the body's natural I do psychedelics of this is the body's natural capacity is to have to to do this type of work. And so, um, and then it was like how do we utilize having the self-awareness of, like, which chakra am I breathing into, how am I moving it through the chakra and breath work? And now can I bring some sound to it? If there was a sound for the chakra. As I breathe through the chakra, what sound would it make?

Speaker 2:

Right, how does my body? That's what I'm looking for right there. So maybe over in Montana we can do that and we can bring it like do live or video or something, and let us just represent that because I want that. So that's what I'm doing at the retreat.

Speaker 1:

That is literally it's on the couch Like we're doing it. So you'll definitely experience it. But that is like this level of I can focus my breath and my energetic awareness to the places and spaces in the body in which it's ready to open up for Right. And you can tell like, oh my gosh, there's something stuck there. I can't move the energy through this place to its fullest capacity. There's something stuck there. I can't move the energy through this place to its fullest capacity because there's something energetically blocking or stuck or sludgy.

Speaker 1:

And I remember having my own personal experience in my the Tantra retreat that I went to in October, where I'm breathing the energy up Like, yeah, root chakra solid, okay, we're moving through that. Sacral, no problem. Solar plexus, no problem. Oh my God. And there's my heart. Why isn't it moving through this space?

Speaker 1:

And I had so much grief of my marriage with my daughter's father, or so much grief that was unprocessed. I hadn't given or hadn't allowed myself to really grieve that I believed when I entered that marriage I was marrying my best friend Like I thought it was going to last forever, that there was, there was such beauty in that relationship and that it didn't last. You know I was in this so, um, heart sick space. For for this meditation, for this breath work, to really feel all of the emotions of having lost the love of my life. Even though he's still alive and well, I still lost the love of my life, and so there was so much grief in my heart space that I hadn't given awareness to let's put it that way, I hadn't given awareness to that level of grief that we can experience in divorce. Right, like I it's not like I regret the divorce, but I had to to really experience the level of emotion and feeling.

Speaker 1:

And the breath work is going to allow you to feel all of it. It's going to allow you to have the awareness of what is coming up and through you now through the breath, and you just keep through the breath and you just keep breathing, and then that breath you're releasing and you're opening up these energetic pathways until it's full. And so if you're allowing yourself to make motion and make sound at the same time, those are going to be the catalyst to really bust through whatever is there right, and so I might be moaning or crying or moving, or dry, heaving or whatever it was to really energetically move those pathways through and in that process go, I felt like it was complete. Now I don't need to have that emotion anymore. I didn't need to experience that level of grief again for my marriage because I did things, I moved it through. It's no longer stuck in that heart space.

Speaker 2:

I feel like that's the difference and I don't know if people are going to be like, but that's the difference between being an energy healer and using technology. Yeah, that right there, yes, yes is being able to have the person who's going to guide you and lead you in person and show you how to do it, versus listening to a pre-recorded version of whatever you know. Not that there's no power in that, because obviously there is. People are using it. Personally, I like that tangible, like person that's going to show me how to do it and we're doing this together and the energy that comes from that and, yes, cause that right there just feels so exciting versus the experience that I had. Um, and I'm looking forward to it. Yeah, absolutely, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2:

Cause I do see the power in breath because, when I'm doing it just for myself, similar to what you're talking about, but not so much like in a group. I've never experienced it like that, and so that's what I'm like heck, yeah, I want to know that, right there, I want to build that experience.

Speaker 1:

I did this experience for our practitioner students, our soul rising practitioner level, when we were in throat chakra and the class like and this is on Zoom Like there's a lot of people who don't know if it can be transferred over to an online space and I'm like it absolutely can, it absolutely can and so, like in person, it's really amazing to hear other people's sounds and experiences and just bear witness without any kind of judgment of them, right, like if they can just be loud or crying or throwing up or whatever it may be like if just to witness that can be really powerful. But in the online space, I told my students like this might be outside of your comfort zone and that's okay. So if you don't want to have your mics on and you want to be muted, be muted. My goal for you is to experience experience, make the sound, do the movements, be aware of the energy and your breath as we move through each of these chakras and and really feel into the experience. And we we did. By the end of class, I think everyone was either having a somatic, some type of somatic experience where they were releasing. We had people who were crying, we had people who were orgasming, we had people like all of these different experiences, was able to come through this process, and I think that's why I get so excited to really teach breath work as moving that Reiki energy, moving the sexual energy, moving the Tantra energy, whatever you want to call it.

Speaker 1:

Energy is energy and so it's like, how can we do these breath works with intention? And so there are some of these practices that I offer in soul rising and soul rising practitioner and my advanced class. Like I love, I've always been in love with the idea of having the awareness of the energy and where is it residing in your body. So, whether that was 20 years ago, I was just doing basic microcosmic orbit, breathing up the back, exhaling down the front, just basic one-on-one energy awareness of where that energy is leading.

Speaker 1:

Versus now, can I do microcosmic orbit with sound, with movement, with this breathwork, energy awareness of how is it transforming my life and can I undulate my spine in accordance to where that energy awareness is right, like all of that, like it can, you can add, you can keep adding layers and layers and layers upon this and it's okay with whatever, where, whatever spectrum you're on in that process of that energy awareness. Like be in that, keep doing that. Like my mind was blown when I was like no-transcript, try to do what you've done for the last 20 years, but now move your spine with it. I was like mind blown, like that was such an amazing experience to like have and I'm like, oh, we have to teach that, I have to, I have to teach this. Like it was just such a simple tweak and it became 20 times more powerful.

Speaker 2:

I love it, I love it and I look forward to it. Wonderful, I love it, I love it and I look forward to it. They, um, I feel like it's just there's so much out there that we can, you know, like for those who are audiences listening right now and it's like whatever calls to you, go explore that, go learn that for yourself and then, if it is called even deeper, to then become a masterclass or become something you teach in your community or on Zoom or whatever, dive into it Right, because that's where the creative spot is. That's where you get to, like, really hone in on yourself and say, yes, this calls to me. I am feeling expansive in this space, and this, this teachings and that that's what we're talking about here is what creates that expansive feeling within yourself, and you go and you learn it, you find it, you seek it, and I think there's just so many blocks that get created and it's just like no, no more. Clear those blocks out. You know, however, you need to clear them out and see yourself from that perspective of growth and expansion, because we need more teachers out there that are going to be sharing this information and all information. So, whatever is coming from your heart go do it.

Speaker 2:

You know, I have a one of my new students now. She level one and she creates these pots that are all like succulents and stuff and but her spin on it was really cool. And so she makes. She was making thunder water and I'm like, oh my gosh, I've never thought of thunder water. I'm like I'm totally gonna make thunder water. You hear moon water, we make all that and everything. But then when she was like oh yeah, we had this big old thunderstorm, she went out and made thunder water and I was like I love that. I'm like, yes, and how powerful is that? To have the energy if you need thunder water to help you bust through some obstacles, and you're using that in your rituals and you're using that and you know, like anointing yourself with oils and thunder water and to give you that power. I'm like, yes, yes, absolutely, give you that power. I'm like, yes, yes, absolutely.

Speaker 1:

So that made me think of our weather a lot. Well, and I think that's where I love. I love what we do, because the whole point is to inspire you to be more of you. Yeah Right, like I don't want cookie cutters of us, I want you to be all of who you are. All of who you are and your fullest capacity of who you are, with all of your divine inspirations, with all of your, your personality showing up, like I, and I love that and I think that's why I love the way we have soul rising organized.

Speaker 1:

So soul rising is our four month online program that we start in the fall. Um, and this will be, I don't know, our sixth round or something, maybe more than that. Like we've we've taught. We've taught this for a lot, but part of it is that we have so many activating actions. We have all of these things that here's your buffet table of all of these opportunities to figure out what is going to be your way to get into your flow, to get into your alignment, to get into your optimal expression of energy, so that you can be your most expansive self, and so I think there's like 35 different activating actions and just soul rising and and it really is meant to. Is it breath work? Is it? Is it a beating of the bones? Is it, uh, going to the Creek and doing a ritual? Like there's so many different invitations for you to explore what's going to work for you.

Speaker 1:

And I think that is what really sets our program, our shamanic Reiki program, apart from others is because we really want you to be you, all of you, not me, you all of you. I want all of you to be there and showing up and um and I think that's why we have such incredible testimonials and incredible results is because people feel that welcome. We have a huge welcome mat for everyone who shows up to be exactly who they are. So if you come to class and you're a hot mess, be a hot mess. We'll support you in that hot messness. If you come to class and you're like I did all of the homework and I did all of the things and I feel amazing about that, I'm like great, be that. And if you're the person who's like I haven't done anything in a week and I feel crummy and I need some support to bust through a limiting belief of why I'm procrastinating, great, we're there for that.

Speaker 1:

Like, we're just so there to support you where, what, however, things are coming up for you, because we know it's a process, we know it's a transition to really start releasing everything that has been ingrained in you from society, from culture, from your parents, from religion, whatever it may be, that says be this, this is who you're supposed to be in the world, and you have this mold that you're supposed to be fitting into, and our job is to give you another option of going. Well, that is one way. You may or may not like that way, but here's you can also experience all of all of this out here. Where, where's, where's that edge of your comfort zone, where's that place where you want to feel more expansive? And we give you that, that platform, that opportunity to step forward in it.

Speaker 2:

And it's just incredible to be you yeah, to literally be you, and not to have to feel like you are.

Speaker 2:

You've been molded and conditioned, and we all have but then there's a place in our life where we can say I don't like that and I don't want to be that person.

Speaker 2:

And you have permission in our container to be whoever you feel you need to show up as and to mold yourself and to cultivate yourself and condition yourself. And I love that, because there's no more power than that. That is the power is you taking yourself and molding and shaping you into who you want to be and who you feel that you rightfully are, and just putting all the sheds out there and everything and saying, no, that's not for me anymore, and we just get to be the mirror, like if you're feeling in us like, oh my gosh, I love this about Christine and I love that about Chantel and I love that about Isabel. Know that what we are reflecting back to you is you. You are seeing in us what you have in yourself, and so it's really just leaning into that version of you and saying I want to be that, I claim it and own it and go live it. Yeah, yeah, I love that. That's what soul rising is all about and that's what we do here.

Speaker 1:

I love it, so know that if you're interested in that program, I know we have a lot of people who are live with us right now who have already taken the program and we love you guys, so feel free to share your own personal experiences and our moon rising shamanic Reiki um Facebook group and page Um, because people need it. People need to hear from our students to know that, like, yeah, we're excited about it and but we know you are too. And um, we know you are too, because we've we're excited about it, but so are our students.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, absolutely, Absolutely, and you know we're going to be starting this program again here in September. We already have people signing up, which I think is fabulous. You do get access to our orientation materials right away. Right now we're in early, early bird, because we're not. This was spontaneous. We had like. Today's conversation was not a pre-scripted anything. We had no idea what we were going to talk about, and it always gravitates to what our soul alignment is of, where we are most excited, and having our students find the place within themselves that say, yes, this is who I am, makes us excited, and so I'm really glad that we had this opportunity to share and to for you to bear witness to our excitement and know that, like, if this is something that you're interested, feel free to, to reach out to me and we can definitely talk.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I've loved this conversation because I know we're kind of like on our like summer vacay right now. We're taking like this time to do the behind the scenes and, you know, replenish our own energy and everything. But yeah, these are like the conversations that are so improv that it's just like where are we going to go? Where is the conversation going to go? Right, it's just natural and organic and I'm glad that we did this.

Speaker 1:

Yeah me too. Yeah, very cool. Well, thank you all for hanging out with us on this Monday morning, and we will let you know in the in our group when we'll be back. But know that Chantel is doing her readings on Thursday mornings. I am excited and showing up with different videos and different opportunities, so I wouldn't be surprised if something's going to be birthed out of all of my tantra work right now. So keep an eye out for that, and until next time, may you awaken to the whispers of wisdom rising from within.

Speaker 2:

Love you. Bye. You guys have a great night.
